Claud Hesse

Claud Hesse (Jesi 1981) lives and works between Italy and Berlin. She studied at the University of Biotechnology, focusing on genetics and physics. She graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. Her work starts from scientific theories, in particular those concerning quantum physics ( she wrote the book “ONE Art – Music – Quantum Physics”) and the DNA with the series of portraits of the genotype made in collaboration with a team of geneticists.

In her artistic practice recur some forms like the Rubik’s cube, from ¬†which starts the reflection on the quantum vacuum: all the elements of matter that exist in a potential way are hidden to our perception and together give rise to the nuances of reality. The scientific aspect of Claud Hesse’s works is mediated by a philosophical and interior reflection.
